S.o.t.H. makes adorable custom made accessories catering to social networks, like Twitter. Their speciality is the name necklace, almost exactly like the name necklaces from the golden days but incredibly customizable and infinitely more hip. In addition, they offer anklets, bracelets, key chains, pins, tie clips, and adorable broken heart necklaces.
All items start at $49.95 and include 1 - 8 characters, additional characters are $2.95 each.
I picked a silver necklace with my Twitter handle, @BavarianErin. For the Twitter initiated (Hi Mom!) the "@" sign is used to address someone. They also offer the "#" hashtag which is used to signify a search term or subject of a Twitter message, also known as a "tweet." You can opt for either of those or neither of those on your S.o.t.H. creation.
S.o.t.H. also offers an option for gold (white, yellow or rose) but I'm really very cheap and I don't trust myself with expensive jewelry (hence why I *still* don't have a wedding ring.) The necklaces come with a 14" chain standard but upgrades to 16, 18 or 20" chains are available for an upcharge.
Now comes the part where you can really start spending the cash. Each item can be dressed to the nines in diamonds, rubies, sapphires or rubies. Each gem is offered in 1pt or 2pt and in quantities of 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 and starting at $12 for one 1pt diamond. I (of course) opted for no gems.
So, it was only about a week after ordering that my necklace arrived. It was bright and shiny and totally tubular. I had always wanted one of these name necklaces when I was younger and S.o.t.H. has fullfilled my teenaged wishes but totally knocked the cool factor up a notch.
