In addition to the
fantastic tour of medical marijuana dispensaries that I did last time I went to Denver, I also got to see Muse. They were making their triumphant return to Denver after
cancelling their show there last April.
Instead of flying out, Superfro and I drove, making the 13 hour trip all in one day with Paxton in tow. She's not much of a Muse fan but she was looking forward to seeing her canine friends Sasha & Audrey.
| Paxton brought her favorite pillow to assure a cozy ride to Denver. |
| Audrey, poised and ready for some fetching! |
| Sasha tolerated Paxton very nicely. Paxton knew to give her a wide berth! |
| Poor Sasha was suffering from a sore back and could not jump or rough house! |
The Muse show was at the Pepsi Center, where the Colorado Avalanche play, and the band was using the same stage set-up as the Chicago show. We had general admission floor tickets and I was pleased to find out that the Pepsi Center doesn't jam pack the floor. We were able to find a place to stand right in front of the sound board.
I incorrectly assumed that Muse would play the same set that we had seen in Chicago but the switched things up a little bit. Here are a few of the pics I took, including one of the set list which I asked the sound tech for after the show. According to him it was the first show where Muse has switched up the set list.
Enjoy!

| The glorious pillars. |
| Laser lights! |
| Very mesmerizing! |
| That's Chris, the bass player, up on the pillars! |
| Very Tron-like! |
| Set list, non-stop awesomeness. |
And so ends 10 months of Muse shows. I promise not to talk about them for a little while, give ya'll a break until they tour the U.S. again. If I had my druthers I'd have seen a few more shows but I was happy to have seen 3 very different shows: one in a small venue, one in a large venue with great seat and the last in another large venue but on the floor.
Love Muse? Hate Muse? Either way, I welcome your comments!
